CONSULTANT RESOURCES LIST

Following is an listing of individuals and/or organizations that provide consulting services to families and schools that wish to create and manage intensive ABA programs for young children with autism.  This list was compiled from the Resource List provided by Texas Association for Behavior Analysis (TxABA) Autism Special Interest Group (SIG) with additions from parents familiar with these services, but may not be comprehensive and does not imply any endorsement by FEAT-Houston, Inc. or any guarantee of consultant availability.  The resources listed may represent varying levels of skill and experience in supervising programs for children with autism.  FEAT-Houston makes no effort to judge the quality of these services or the experience of any of the people listed.  In selecting a consultant, FEAT recommends that parents and schools consider the guidelines in “Identifying Qualified Professionals in Behavior Analysis” (Shook, Gerald L. and Favell, Judith, in Behavioral Intervention for Young Children with Autism, Pro-Ed, Inc., 1996) as well as "Guidelines for Consumers of Applied Behavior Analysis Services" from the Autism Special Group of the Association for Behavior Analysis.

*Individuals who are Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) or Board Certified Associate Behavior Analysts (BCABA) have met degree, course work and experience requirements, have passed a national exam and have met continuing education requirements established by the National Association for Behavior Analysis.
