FEAT is an acronym for " Families for Effective Autism Treatment". FEAT-Houston, Inc is a non-profit corporation, modeled after FEAT-Sacramento, the earliest of the FEAT support groups. On this site you will be able to find out information about Autism, ABA Treatment and support groups in the Houston and Texas area.

This site is updated at least monthly and has the most up to date Newsletter, Meeting Details and where possible Autism News. It also has considerable information on contact details for both Local and National Resources and where known internet links to online resources.

May 2008 Newsletter *NEW*
We used to reformat the newsletter for website but we lost much of the formatting and layout, and many of the forms were unusable. Effective Sept 2006 the newsletter will be available on the website in Adobe Acrobat PDF format.

HB 1919 - Insurance Coverage of Autism
Under House Bill 1919, effective September 1st 2007, some children between the ages of two and six, will be eligible to receive insurance coverage of ABA autism treatment. In September 2007 FEAT-Houston held a meeting discussing the provisions and logistics of HB 1919. Documents from that meeting are available here.

Hope Extended
Spectrum of Hope announces the opening of Hope Extended, an ABA based classroom program, on January 7, 2008. Two classrooms will be available for enrollment - the Acquisition Room and the Transition Room. Details here.
