Medicaid Waiver programs can include some BCBA services in addition to many other services. Currently the waiting lists for these programs can be quite long but FEAT-Houston recommends EVERY parent sign up for the “interest lists” for these programs as soon as possible. They will become very important for the future of your individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder. There are two basic calls to make to get on these lists. Find out more here:
- To sign up for the HCS and TxHmL lists:
Contact your local intellectual and developmental disability authority (LIDDA) that serves the county in which you live. Find the LIDDA that serves your area at Local Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authorities Directory or by searching the web directory at Where Do I Call to Get HHS Services? - To sign up for the CLASS and MDCP lists:
Call (877) 438-5658
Please note that putting your individual’s name on these lists does not obligate you to anything. You also do not need to prove eligibility at this time. When your child’s name comes up on the list, you will be contacted and at that time eligibility will be determined and you will have the opportunity to accept or reject services.
